Bio
Teisha Bradley is an architectural designer focused on how people influence space. Growing up in public housing in Washington DC, she aims to create spaces for those like her. While pursuing her master’s degree, she recognized the importance of designing for marginalized communities. Her background shaped by poverty and a family history of substance abuse fueled her passion for social aspects of architecture, particularly in low-income housing, education, and Deaf Space Architecture. Teisha believes representation is essential for success. In winter 2021, she taught “Black Architects: The Unsung Story” at RISD, educating students about notable Black architects and challenging negative perceptions associated with the color black. This ideology inspired her to return to her alma mater.
